Release 6.5 Status
JTLS-GO 6.5.0.0 is currenlty under development. It is planned for release in June of 2026.
JTLS-GO Version 6.5 is an improvement release. Several significant Engineering Change Proposals were implemented in response to the needs of the user community. Significant changes include:
- Upgrade to Java 21 from Java 8
- Initial release of the JLVC Fusion Tool (JFT) for interacting with JLVC Order of Battle Service (OBS) ORBAT files.
- Improved DSAs: Improved handling and detections for large Directed Search Areas.
- Jamming Awareness Improvements: provide feedback for improved awareness of jamming effects.
- Multiple Classifications: separate classification labeling capability for raw data and execution.
- IMT: Color-coded postures: Unit postures within the WHIP Information Management Tool (IMT) tables can be color-coded for improved readability and at-a-glance awareness.
- Command Hierarchy Alias Support: The WHIP's Command Hierarchy component will support display and customization of unit name aliases.
Summary of Version 6.5
A formal Version Description Document (VDD) is published for each released version of JTLS-GO, except interim version releases. For interim releases a text file with an explanation of the changes is provided to the user requiring the interim release.
